sometimes the best info out there on teams is in the heads of their fans.
"I've been trying all week and I just can't seem to get a good grip on this Monday Night game for the Rams. Too many intangibles involved in this one I think.
How will the weather impact the game? How will the theater (Monday Night Football) affect the game? Is this a trap game for the Rams? How does the Seahawks loss today affect the Rams psyche? Do they relax a little now, maybe too much? Do they take this opportunity to put their foots on the Seahawk's throat? Will they, as it seemed Seattle was doing, look past this game to next week's game? Is Cleveland the mental mess some say they are right now?
I don't know. I just don't know.
One thing that I have thought all along however, is that this will be a low scoring game. I still think that it will be lower scoring than most probably do.
If this game were in St. Louis, I'd Rams big. But I think that this game being on the road in cold weather changes everything. Cleveland is a tough place to play. The Rams don't play particularly well in not so tough places to play away from home (see Arizona). So, I say this will be lower scoring and close.
Final score: Rams 23, Browns 20.
I think Cleveland's front 4 on defense could give the Rams trouble. I think Cleveland's defense may benefit from the fact that their offense plays the same scheme the Rams do.
Conversely, I think Cleveland's offense may struggle against the cover 2 defense like the Rams offense often does. Plus, Cleveland's offense is struggling anyway. But, I do like the matchup in Cleveland's favor of their WR's against the Rams CB's. I think they have an advantage there, but I suspect you won't see the Rams play much man Monday Night anyway and Cleveland lacks a running game capable of truly hurting the Rams to force them into a more agressive scheme.
My guess is, the Rams defense will control the game for the most part, but give up a couple big plays like they always do. The Rams offense will struggle some, especially in the redzone, but will muster enough to get some FG's and a TD or two, maybe even a score from the defense will provide the difference."
